The Cataract Refractive School enters its third decade!

The 21st annual Cataract School is successfully behind us! From November 3 to 7, we once again combined theory, practice, and team spirit in Slaný in a unique educational event for ophthalmologists.

What did this year bring?
👉 A new teaching concept – multi-block lessons, where 2–3 lecturers covered the topic from A to Z and added their personal experiences.
👉 Extended theoretical part
👉 Live Surgery – 6 surgeries, 4 surgeons, various types of IOLs and approaches, expert discussion broadcast live.
👉 30 thematic blocks, more than 30 speakers, and nearly 50 lecturers.
👉 29 participants, 130+ hours of wet lab training, and 5 workshops focused on optical biometrics.
👉 Various types of state-of-the-art surgical instruments: Constellation, Infiniti, Centurion, ARGOS biometer, and Fidelis VR simulator.
👉 Over 300 pig eyes were used and more than 200 Alcon intraocular lenses were implanted.
👉 The extensive social and sports program also burned tens of thousands of calories during team building! 💪

We would like to thank all lecturers, participants, and partners for the great atmosphere, openness, and willingness to learn and share. We look forward to the 2026 Cataract School!
