MUDr. Petr Bulíř, FEBO graduated in 2001 from the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague with a degree in general medicine. After graduation, he began working as an ophthalmologist at the Regional Hospital in Liberec, where he rose to the position of head of the ophthalmology department. He obtained his first degree certification in ophthalmology in 2004 and his second degree certification in 2008. In 2013, he obtained the European FEBO title in ophthalmology.
Since 2008, Dr. Bulíř has been working as a university lecturer at the Institute of Health Studies at the Technical University in Liberec. He also regularly lectures at the International Cataract School for doctors and nurses.
Dr. Bulíř specializes in anterior and posterior segment eye surgery—cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and retinal surgery. He also focuses on surgical treatment of glaucoma, ultrasound diagnostics in ophthalmology, and laser therapy of the retina, glaucoma, and secondary cataracts.
He is a member of a number of professional societies: the Czech Society of Ophthalmology, the Czech Society for Refractive and Cataract Surgery, the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Czech Vitreoretinal Society, and the Czech Medical Chamber.
